Brian and Andrew previously co-founded Attentive, which grew to more than $500M in annual revenue and a $10B+ valuation, and TapCommerce, which was acquired by Twitter. Together, they bring deep experience building high-growth, product-led businesses at massive scale as Adaptive builds the security layer for the AI era.Trusted by leading banks, technology companies, and healthcare organizations, Adaptive protects teams from emerging threats like deepfakes, smishing, and AI-powered voice scams. With rapid enterprise adoption and a $200B+ market ahead, the company is just getting started.RoleWe are seeking a Staff ML Engineer to define and build Adaptive's ML capabilities. Adaptive is an AI cybersecurity company whose products use LLMs and ML models to detect, classify, and respond to threats in real time. ML is central to the future of our products, and we need someone who can own the strategy, infrastructure, and execution for how we use it.We don't have dedicated ML infrastructure or an ML team today. You'll be building this from the ground up. You'll set the technical direction for how we use ML across the company, stand up the infrastructure, and do the hands-on work yourself.ResponsibilitiesDefine Adaptive's ML strategy: where ML should be applied across our products, what infrastructure we need, and how we should approach build vs. buy decisions.Design and build production ML systems end-to-end — data pipelines, model training, evaluation frameworks, and inference serving.Establish evaluation methodology. Define how we measure model quality, catch regressions, and make data-driven decisions about model changes.Own the strategy for getting the data you need, in the format you need it — what/how to label, how to build feedback loops, and how our models improve over time.Partner with product engineers to integrate ML into the product. You will write production code and work within our existing codebase.Over time, help build and lead the ML team as scope grows.Qualifications8+ years of experience building ML systems in production, ideally with experience standing up the ML function at an early stage startup or as the senior or lead ML person at a previous company.Strong software engineering fundamentals. You write production-quality code in modern languages (Python, Java, TypeScript) and work within large codebases.Experience with cloud ML infrastructure (AWS SageMaker, Bedrock, Modal, Baseten, or similar).Experience with common ML and data processing frameworks (PyTorch, Tensorflow, Spark)Comfortable working across the stack — infrastructure, backend services, and data systems.Track record of mentoring MLEs and other engineers with observable, clear improvements in those you've worked with.High autonomy. You'll have support and context from leadership, but you're expected to define the path forward and drive it.

Who We're Looking For: The One Thing That MattersYou are the last line of defence between our code and patient care.TORTUS runs in hospitals, GP surgeries, ambulances, and across dozens of clinical environments — on iPads, in Epic, Cerner, Surgery Connect, EMIS, and multiple browsers. You'll own quality end-to-end: building the automated test infrastructure, running AI output evaluations, managing releases, and ensuring nothing ships that could break in any of those places. You'll be managing AI coding agents, building simulation suites for clinical AI outputs, and pioneering what quality engineering looks like when development is AI-accelerated.We’re looking for a technically strong QA engineer who is obsessed with AI tooling. You'll be building and maintaining automated test suites, but you'll also be running multiple coding agent instances, designing Playwright harnesses at scale, and creating entirely new kinds of tests — like evaluating whether our AI-generated clinical notes are correct. You'll also need to be comfortable rolling up your sleeves for hands-on manual and exploratory testing — complex clinical workflows across multiple deployment surfaces demand human judgement, not just automation. If you're the kind of person who sees AI agents as force multipliers rather than novelties, we want to talk to you. What Else Would Be Great2–5 years of experience in QA engineering, software testing, or SDET rolesHands-on experience with automated testing frameworks (Playwright, Jest, Vitest, or similar)Genuine enthusiasm for AI-assisted development — you're already using Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar tools to ship fasterFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating quality gates into automated workflowsUnderstanding of requirements traceability and how to maintain requirement to test case mappingExperience writing test plans, protocols, and verification reportsComfort testing across multiple platforms and environments (web, mobile, iPad, embedded in third-party systems)Exposure to compliance standards (IEC 62304, ISO 13485, ISO 14971) or Quality Management Systems is a strong plus — but not requiredStrong written communication — you'll be producing documentation that goes into our regulatory technical fileWhat You'll DoAutomated Testing & InfrastructureOwn and expand the end-to-end test suite using Playwright, Jest, and Vitest — covering unit, integration, system, and E2E testingBuild automated test harnesses for all deployment surfaces: web app, iPad, Epic, Cerner, Surgery Connect, EMIS, and multiple browsersDesign test cases covering functional requirements, edge cases, and failure modesIntegrate tests into CI pipelines to gate every PR with passing testsUse AI coding agents to accelerate test creation and maintenanceAI Output Evaluation & SimulationBuild end-to-end simulation suites for our clinical AI pipeline: upload known audio, verify transcripts, clinical codes, and guidelines are correctCreate smoke tests for AI outputsCollaborate with the ML team on AI evaluations — both deterministic tests and non-deterministic model output evaluationsDetect quality regressions when prompts, models, or pipelines changeRelease Management & QA GatingOwn the QA process for versioned releasesRun regression and manual exploratory testing across all supported environments before promoting to productionManage the release checklist — ensure nothing ships without verification on all target platformsTraceability & ComplianceMaintain the requirements traceability matrix, linking software requirements to test cases and resultsEnsure verification coverage with documented evidence for our regulatory technical fileSupport ISO 13485 audits and Class IIa certification with testing evidenceAutomate compliance workflows where possibleDefect ManagementLog, triage, and track defects with clear severity classificationWork with developers to reproduce issues, verify fixes, and close the loopEnsure no high-severity defects ship without resolution and re-testingWhat Does Wild Success Look Like? After 12–18 months, you've transformed how TORTUS ships software. The automated test suite covers all major deployment surfaces, and developers trust it to catch issues before they reach staging. You've built a simulation suite that catches AI regressions before they reach clinicians — we know within minutes if a release has broken clinical coding or note generation. The traceability matrix is immaculate, and auditors breeze through our verification evidence. Releases are versioned, documented, and predictable. You've reduced manual regression time by 70%+ through automation and AI-assisted test generation. About Resolve AISoftware maintenance and production troubleshooting have become a massive tax of engineering velocity. Resolve AI is solving this by building a transformative, truly autonomous AI Production Engineer that investigates and fixes complex system issues end-to-end.Our founders (Spiros Xanthos and Mayank Agarwal) are the core creators of OpenTelemetry and led Splunk Observability. They have had 2 successful exits to Splunk and VMware. We’ve raised over $150M from top-tier investors including Lightspeed, Greylock, Unusual Ventures, and individual backers such as Jeff Dean (Chief Scientist, Google DeepMind), Thomas Dohmke (CEO, GitHub), Matt Garman (CEO, AWS), Reid Hoffman (Founder, LinkedIn), and Fei-Fei Li (Professor, Stanford). The RoleWe're hiring AI Agent Engineers: people who combine strong engineering fundamentals, AI-native thinking, and a relentless focus on customer outcomes. You won't just ship features. You'll own the full arc from understanding a customer's problem in production to delivering a solution that measurably improves their experience. The best software engineers have always spent more time figuring out what to build than writing the code itself. With tools like Claude Code and Cursor accelerating code authorship at an unprecedented pace, that ratio is shifting even further, and we think that's a good thing. This isn't a rebrand of the traditional software engineering role. It's a recognition that the highest-leverage engineering work today lives at the intersection of deep technical execution, customer empathy, and rigorous evaluation of what's actually working. What You'll DoOwn customer outcomes end to end. Work directly with customers, design partners, and internal stakeholders to define technical scope, success criteria, and delivery milestones — then build and ship the solution yourself.Build product capabilities that matter. Design and implement features across the full stack, with a bias toward solving real problems observed in production environments rather than building in the abstract.Integrate deeply with customer environments. Work hands-on with cloud platforms, observability systems, CI/CD pipelines, and incident response workflows to ensure our product fits seamlessly into how teams actually operate.Diagnose and resolve complex issues. Troubleshoot hard problems across customer deployments, turning support interactions into product insights and durable fixes.Measure what matters. Build evaluations and feedback loops that quantify customer value in a data-driven way, ensuring new capabilities are genuinely moving the needle — not just shipping.Raise the engineering bar. Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code. Lead design discussions and code reviews. Help shape both the technical direction of the product and the engineering culture of the team. What We're Looking For4+ years of industry experience building production software, with a strong background in backend or distributed systemsStrong fundamentals in system design, data structures, and building reliable software in high concurrency environmentsExperience operating systems in production, including debugging failures, performance issues, and edge casesHands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), Kubernetes, and modern infrastructure toolingFamiliarity with databases, messaging systems, and service-oriented architecturesInterest in AI-driven systems, with experience or curiosity around LLM-powered applications, reasoning systems, or autonomous workflowsA strong sense of ownership and comfort working in ambiguous problem spacesAbility to communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiencesA builder's mindset. You enjoy shipping, iterating, and improving systems over timeWhy Join Resolve AI?Make a Real Impact: Join a mission-driven team tackling complex challenges that deliver meaningful outcomes for customers and revolutionize engineering operations.Shape Agentic AI’s Future: Help build the next frontier in enterprise software and define its transformative impact.Own Your Work: Take end-to-end responsibility in your role in a collaborative, high-trust environment.Accelerate Your Career: Grow alongside industry leaders in a fast-paced environment, gaining invaluable experience and opportunities to propel your career to new heights.Competitive Benefits: Competitive Pay Packages with full benefits including:Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceMonthly Housing StipendFlexible (Unlimited) Paid Time OffVisa Sponsorship & Immigration Support401(k) PlanParental LeaveDiscretionary Tech Benefit StipendDaily in-office Lunches and DinnersWe are an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, protected veteran status, disability, age, and other characteristics protected by law.

Why HarveyAt Harvey, we’re transforming how legal and professional services operate — not incrementally, but end-to-end. By combining frontier agentic AI, an enterprise-grade platform, and deep domain expertise, we’re reshaping how critical knowledge work gets done for decades to come. This is a rare chance to help build a generational company at a true inflection point. With 1000+ customers in 58+ countries, strong product-market fit, and world-class investor support, we’re scaling fast and defining a new category in real time. The work is ambitious, the bar is high, and the opportunity for growth — personal, professional, and financial — is unmatched. Our team is sharp, motivated, and deeply committed to the mission. We move fast, operate with intensity, and take real ownership of the problems we tackle — from early thinking to long-term outcomes. We stay close to our customers — from leadership to engineers — and work together to solve real problems with urgency and care. If you thrive in ambiguity, push for excellence, and want to help shape the future of work alongside others who raise the bar, we invite you to build with us.At Harvey, the future of professional services is being written today — and we’re just getting started.Role OverviewAs a senior member of our founding Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) team, you’ll embed with Harvey’s enterprise customers (Am Law firms, in-house teams at large enterprises, and other professional services organizations) to turn cutting‑edge AI systems into production‑grade workflows that deliver measurable outcomes fast. You’ll move from prototype to deployment quickly, surface patterns from the field, and feed them back into Harvey’s platform and product roadmap. You’ll start from open‑ended, high‑leverage problems, design and implement end‑to‑end solutions with real users and data, and ship to production under tight feedback loops. This role is based in New York, NY. We use an in-person work model and offer relocation assistance to new employees..What You'll DoEmbed with customers to map out workflows, de‑risk constraints, and define crisp success metrics for custom builds.Design → prototype → productionize custom workflows: customize knowledge sources and retrieval pipelines, tool use/agents, prompts, and guardrails; then harden them for reliability, observability, and scale.Integrate workflows with clients systems (DMS, KM, ticketing, identity/SSO) and data sources; standing up secure connectors to the rest of the Harvey platform.Build and maintain evals & harnesses that capture real‑world quality on a client-by-client basis, wiring those signals into iteration loops and model choices.Operationalize adoption: run training, write crisp runbooks, and hand-off durable playbooks to customer champions—and to Harvey product/eng—so wins scale beyond one account.Surface field patterns (recurring prompts, tools, workflows, failure modes) that inform platform capabilities and future product bets. How you will make a 10x ImpactHigh Beta: You understand that volatility is the normal course of action, and you embrace it. You assume failure is the most likely outcome, so you fail fast and learn. You are transparent about failure, and you actively try to kill your own ideas by tackling the hardest problems first. You don’t subscribe to sunk costs.Unreasonable hospitality: You practice unreasonable hospitality, grounding your technical work in a deep obsession with the customer. You will spend as much time understanding the "why" from users as you do building the "what," ensuring our bets are aimed at solving real, meaningful problems.Action, action, and still more action: You live by a relentless bias for action. You believe progress is measured by what you build and learn, not what you discuss in meetings. You prioritize shipping and getting real-world feedback over perfecting a plan on paper.Contrarian, with common sense: You constantly think about what’s missing, not what’s working well today. You feel uncomfortable when an idea becomes consensus. But you match ambitious ideas with pragmatic execution. You find the most straightforward path to de-risk a complex concept, focusing on proving value quickly rather than over-engineering a solution. What You Have5+ years building and operating production software with meaningful 0→1 ownership and the ability to operate under ambiguity.Experience building LLM‑powered applications (retrieval, tools/agents, structured outputs, prompt/runtime safety) and taking them to production.Comfort working directly with customers—from scoping ambiguous problems to shipping, integrating, training, and iterating on adoption.Practical experience with evals (designing task suites, pipelines, and dashboards that reflect user quality); you use evals to drive model/product decisions.Clear, concise communication; low‑ego collaboration; appetite for in‑person pairing with teammates and customers in NYC.Compensation Range$200,000-$260,000 USD#LI-SB1Harvey is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, national origin, disability, age, genetic information, veteran status, marital status, pregnancy or related condition, or any other basis protected by law.We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations to applicants with disabilities, and requests can be made by emailing accommodations@harvey.ai
